Spread over three long-weekends in the year, the course provides in depth teaching in apologetics and the spiritual disciplines. Our aim is to equip each participant to be a dynamic witness in whatever context God has placed them in, by helping them to grapple with the heartfelt questions and intellectual challenges of apologetics, as well as to grow significantly in spiritual life and character. The training is structured to allow for a lot of interaction with speakers and opportunities to ask questions. Past courses have also proved to be times of forging meaningful and lasting friendships with like-minded Christians.
PHASE 1:
Forms the foundations of the course. Beginning with an introduction to conversational apologetics and the spiritual disciplines, we focus on the nature of truth, how truth can be known, and how we can communicate truth in our current cultural context. The nature of God as Trinity also features strongly as we begin to build up our confidence in the gospel and our ability to share it with others.

Places for the RZIM Training Weekend will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The cost includes all meals, accommodation, tuition and materials from the evening of Thursday 11th April through to lunch time on Sunday 14th April.
Due to the layout of Glenfall House, most of the accommodation consists of twin rooms (with a limited number of these being married couple rooms). As a result, single rooms are offered at a premium and a discount is given for those sharing a twin room. If you are planning to share a twin room with a friend who is also booked onto the course, please state their name on the form so that we can ensure you are placed together. If not, then you will simply be assigned to a room (all male/all female). Please note, married couples are welcome to book two individual places and occupy a twin room, if all married rooms are sold.
We regret that we are not able to accommodate children at these weekends, and all attendees must 18 or over.

As you approach Cheltenham, the Racecourse is on the left. At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit into New Barn Lane (the first exit is into the Racecourse).
After approximately 1 mile there are two mini roundabouts close to each other. At the first roundabout turn very sharply right into Prestbury Road.
Take the second left, turning into Priors Road.
Pass Sainsbury's supermarket on your left and at the first mini roundabout turn sharp left into Harp Hill.
The road climbs steeply. As the road descends follow it round to the left and take the second road on the right (opposite the green railings) marked “Mill Lane - unsuitable for HGV’s”.
As the road bends sharply to the right continue straight on through Glenfall’s gates.
From Cirencester on the A435
As you approach Cheltenham, down a long hill, you will enter the built up area of Charlton Kings.
At the first traffic lights turn right into Lyefield Road West (The Roman Catholic Church is on the left at the cross roads).
Takethe first left at the mini roundabout into Copt Elm Road. Proceed to the next junction.
At the traffic light go straight over into Greenway Lane.
At the T-junction turn right and take the first right into Mill Lane.
As the road bends sharply to the right continue straight on through Glenfall’s gates.
From the East on the A40
As you enter Charlton Kings you will pass the Charlton Kings Hotel on your left.
In less than a mile you will come to traffic lights at a large junction.
You will see an Esso garage up ahead on your left.
Take the second turning on your right into Greenway Lane.
At the T-junction turn right and take the first right into Mill Lane.
As the road bends sharply to the right continue straight on through Glenfall’s gates.
From the M5 on the A40
When travelling from the North you may leave by either Junction 10 or 11.
When travelling from the South you may leave by either Junction 11A or 11.
Follow sign posts for Cheltenham and join the A40 to Oxford.
When the A435 to Cirencester forks right at traffic lights take the left fork and continue along the A40 to Oxford.
On seeing the Esso garage on your right take the first left into Greenway Lane at the Traffic lights.
At the T-junction turn right and take the first right into Mill Lane.
As the road bends sharply to the right continue straight on through Glenfall’s gates.
